Peculiarities of excitons relaxation in molecular chains (J-aggregates)

Peculiarities of exciton relaxation in one-dimensional molecular
chains characterized by diagonal and off-diagonal disorder have been
analysed. Obtained results are explained using the  exciton self-trapping
model. It has been shown that free and self-trapped exciton states
in one-dimensional molecular chains are separated by the self-trapping  barrier.
