Effect of plasticizers on the radiation resistance of polystyrene
scintillators

Radiation resistance of polystyrene-based scintillators containing plasticizers has been investigeted. Gamma irradiation effect on scintillation and optical characteristics of scintillators has been discussed. The plasticizer introduction in concentrations exceeding 10% is shown to improve substantially the radiation resistance of polystyrene scintillators.
