The collective mode spectrum and the space distribution of the charge induced by an external electrostatic potential in a double-layer quantum Hall system is obtained in the framework of the composite fermion model. Peculiarities in collective mode spectra caused by the interlayer statistical interaction are described. The distribution of the charge induced by two test particles situated in the opposite layers is calculated. The cases of test charges of the same sign and of different signs are analyzed. It is shown that the difference between the induced charge densities in two cases considered is an oscillatory function of the distance to the test particle.
