PbF2 films is proposed as the low refractive index layer in combination with PbTe in production of interference light filters for IR spectral region. The use of PbF2 instead of ZnS used as a rule in this region allows to reduce a numbers of layers in the filter or to improve the system parameters at the same layer number. The experimental filters obtained have a sufficient mechanical strength and can be operated in a wide temperature range from 100oC to liquid nitrogen temperatures.
