Abstract:

A new organo-mineral composite material was obtained by in situ immobilization of poly [8-oxyquinoline methacrylate] on the surface of clinoptilolite (Ukraine). The fact of immobilization of the polymer on the mineral surface was confirmed by IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis combined with mass spectrometry. As a result of comparing the sorption properties of the synthesized composite and the original mineral with respect to Cu2+, Pb2+, Mn2+ and Fe3+ ions, their improvement after modification by the selected polymer with respect to Pb(II) and Cu(II) ions was recorded.
