The physical and mechanical properties of coatings based on nitrides of refractory metals, their structure, phase composition and surface morphology depending on the parameters of condensation were analyzed. The peculiarities of the structure and behavior of nanostructural coatings based on nitrides of Ti and Zr refractory metals in multilayer TiN/ZrN coatings depending on the period of layered structure (size of nano grains, texture and emerging stresses) were established.
